Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15, 1961) is an American actress. Her work has been recognized for TV and film from the mid-80s onwards, she's been awarded numerous awards such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett originates born in New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett as well as her sister and their mother were moved into St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was five. Their father had separated from their mom. Bassett was at the age of high school when she saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck in the play Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal of becoming an actor had been born. Yale University New Haven Connecticut granted her a bachelor's degree (1980) with a focus on African American study, and an honorary doctorate (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. The couple got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American Studies) in 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda for the action adventure film, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
